Andy White is a an experienced entrepreneur with an impressive track record on innovation. He has a background in the marine industry, and many years’ experience in recruitment. He was co-founder of Matchtech in the 1990s, the number one engineering recruiter in the UK, and in 1999 set up the Professional Contractors Group, now known as IPSE. He started another business: CTruk Group Ltd in 2009 which initially focused on the renewable energy sector. In 2015 it featured in the Virgin Fast Track 100. The Project Pool is the latest company, which tracks it’s heritage back to the early days of IPSE and Matchtech.
During 35 years in the Royal Navy Sir Tim McClement commanded both submarines and frigates and retired as a Vice Admiral in 2006. Since then he has enjoyed a diverse portfolio. He is Chairman of Protection Group International, an integrated, intelligence-led, risk mitigation group and Chairman of Mobilarm, the world’s leading brand in offshore safety solutions. Previous jobs have included: NED for Subsea Resources Ltd, a deep sea salvage company; MD of the start-up Flagship SuperYacht Academy, which delivered training to SuperYacht crews; Chairman of CWind, which constructs & maintains offshore wind-farms, and Chairman of the Royal Navy Submarine Museum.
Paul Lester CBE has an exceptional record as a senior executive at the helm of major businesses. He is a former chief executive at engineering firm the VT Group, where he oversaw a successful diversification programme, and previously a group managing director at construction giant Balfour Beatty. He is currently chairman at several boards, including Greenergy International and John Laing Infrastructure Fund. He is a member of the UK Treasury’s Major Projects Review Group, and is a former President of the Society of Maritime Industries, and of the Engineering Employers Federation.
Steve Sharp is a renowned marketing specialist, and former Board Director, Marketing at Marks & Spencer, where he oversaw numerous award-winning advertising campaigns during a decade long tenure. Since then he has created Imagineer London, a global marketing and branding agency. Steve is a doctor and professor of Glasgow Caledonian University and a fellow of the chartered institute of Marketing.
Chris Bell is a partner at mbh Attorneys at Law in Zurich, Switzerland. His experience includes commercial negotiations, securitisations, reinsurance litigation, arbitration and disputes, contract analysis and claims resolution. He is a former partner at gbf-Legal and Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, and has held senior Legal Counsel positions at major companies, including Zurich Re and SCOR, a leading reinsurer.

Richard Robson is the owner-director of Project Pilots Ltd, a project management and software consultancy. He is an experienced project planner, and an accredited mediator, who is often called in as trouble-shooter on difficult projects. He has experience in different industries, with leading firms including Network Rail, BT, construction firm Costain and civil engineering giant Amey. He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society.
Philip Ross is an experienced freelance agile business analyst, with 25 years’ experience in IT. He advises organisations on using agile to deliver digital transformation projects. He has worked in financial services, media and communications, including for global companies. He was a founder, along with Andy White, of the Professional Contractors Group, later rebranded as IPSE. He is also a published author, and an experienced chairman and facilitator and is an established campaigner for freelancers.
